Premium Wild Foraged Black Walnuts Whole In Shell 2023 Harvest By The Pound Tenn
Wild black walnuts foraged and processed by hand on our property in Middle Tennessee. These walnuts are all 2023 harvest, no year old nuts here, only the freshest!Considered a delicacy by many chefs, they are great for holiday baking, cooking, or as a fun and nutritious snack rich in protein and Omega 3 fatty acids. Our walnuts are open air cured for at least three weeks prior to shipping. While three weeks is usually enough time to fully cure, environmental conditions such as humidity and ambient temperature, may lead to longer cure times. Please keep this in mind, as your walnuts may need continue curing after you receive them.To continue the curing process simply hang or place the mesh bag in a dry, well ventilated area. Patios, sun rooms, decks, and garages work great! You can also put them out in the sun on nice days to speed up the process, just keep an eye out for furry four legged thieves. Once fully cured, walnuts are shelf stable for 1-3 years.
